THE AIM for this short newsletter is to share with you the news about The Deming Institute’s improvements to their YouTube channel, which includes new content, new curation, and better organization. With the aid of their top-notch video producer, Leslie Peters, staff have been reorganizing their new and old content into six different playlists for easy reference and use.
First, for those who want to see real-life success stories, there is the Proof playlist, with stories told by those who successfully applied Deming’s lessons to their businesses:
For a deeper dive into what the Deming management method can do for your organization, check out the Power playlist, with short videos that explain benefits of rethinking and replacing some of your existing practices:
There is also a Shorts playlist that has quick videos of stories told by colleagues of Dr. Deming’s, along with other practitioners and well-known members of the Deming community all speaking on various aspects and lessons of Deming’s management philosophy:
Next, is the Wit & Wisdom playlist where you can find deeper explanations behind common quotes and phrases you’ll come across that are attributed to Dr. Deming, perfect for getting some inspiration or starting a group discussion about Deming’s management philosophy:
For those who are keen to start learning Deming, check out the sampler of content in the Inside playlist from the Institute’s DemingNEXT learning platform featuring short-form videos that teach foundational concepts:
And finally, all the original content with videos of Deming explaining his philosophy can be found in the Classics playlist:
NB: This is still a work-in-progress with videos currently being re-classified into the playlists. Expect to see more content and perhaps more playlists in the near future.
I refer to many of these videos in my work and share them with colleagues and customers to aid their learning and understanding where I may not have a suitable Digestible Deming newsletter to fit the bill, or if they just prefer to learn by listening or watching. I strongly recommend subscribing to their channel so you can keep abreast of new content, particularly their podcasts hosted by Andrew Stotz and featuring top-practitioners like David Langford, Bill Bellows, John Dues, and many more.
Enjoy!
